SAT & ACT
SAT
What’s on it?
A student’s score on the SAT is one of the most significant factors influencing his or her admission into college. The SAT’s seven sections cover arithmetic, algebra, geometry, analogies, sentence completions, and critical reading.
Customized to Fit YOUR Needs
At Wellington Tutoring, we provide quality, customized tutoring options to help your student prepare for the SAT. We offer classes in a small group setting as well as one-on-one tutoring. We use a combination of diagnostic tests to identify your student’s opportunities for improvement, real practice tests, strategy workbooks and preparation materials made by the makers of the SAT.
Small-Group Setting
Other tutoring services offer classes of 10 or more students. At Wellington Tutoring, our experience has been that most students learn better in small group settings with more individual attention paid to specific difficulties. Therefore we accept no more than 5 students per SAT class.

ACT
The ACT is now accepted almost universally as an alternative to the SAT. Check with the college to which you are applying. There are notable differences between the ACT and SAT in pacing, subject matter tested, and approach.
